Two months off school doesn’t have to mean two months off learning…
We have some exciting news – we can now officially confirm that kids can learn coding as part of the unique Minerva Me Club Holiday School programme!
As well as world-class teaching, amazing cultural activities and life skills workshops, children attending Me Club will now be able to learn coding – the only truly future-proof skill.
Coding classes will be run by Thomas Magnitis, Minerva’s top expert coding tutor, who will teach an introductory course in some of the fundamental programming languages. These include Scratch, Ruby, Python and more – you can read an interview with Thomas here, discussing why coding will be so important in the near future.

As well as the usual 11+ morning classes we offer, kids will also have the option to learn coding instead. Me Club coding classes will be available for the following weeks:
July 31st – August 4th
August 7th – 11th
August 14th – 18th
Places on these weeks will fill up fast, so we encourage you to book soon to avoid disappointment!
The classes will take place at a lovely school in Hammersmith, with afternoons taken up by fun-filled workshops and fascinating cultural trips.

These have included some of London’s world-class museums, such as the British Museum, Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, as well as Greenwich Meantime and the London Observatory.
This summer, we are looking to expand into London’s fantastic art galleries, like the National Gallery and the Tate Modern, and newer attractions such as Kidzania and the London Bridge Experience. The exact programme changes from week to week, and we will confirm the exact timetables nearer the time, but rest assured, each week will be entertaining, educational and engaging in its own way!
The workshops usually focus on improving and developing important life-skills, such as teamwork and communication, public speaking, leadership and British/global etiquette. In the past we’ve also run a workshop hosted by a Shakespearean actor, after a tour of the Globe theatre, which is always a favourite.
And for parents who are less concerned about coding, but fretting about looming 11+ exams, we are also running Me Club for the last two weeks of July, where the morning sessions will be taken by our expert 11+ tutors, with no coding option.
July 17th – 21st
July 24th – 28th
They will cover 11+ maths, English and reasoning skills in innovative and engaging ways, preparing the pupils for those crucial autumn and winter exams. Afternoons will still involve workshops and trips around London, with a different timetable each week.
So what are you waiting for? Get in touch with the Temple of Minerva on 0208 819 3276 or send an email to hello@minervatutors.com to book in an extraordinary week (or more than one!) with Me Club, London’s best holiday school experience. Make sure to enquire about our sibling discount, and local discount for Hammersmith and Fulham residents.
